Beneath our passion for tans lays our love for skin chemistry, product science and hosting a safe haven for women to glow up in total comfort. With 25 different base colours available and a spacious tan room, we have a shade for all occasions, and a space for all body shapes and sizes. Remember: spray tan solution doesn't care about what you look like, it just wants to make you bronze.

Upon booking with us for the first time, you will receive our specialist pre tan prep instructions which outline all of the things you need to do before your appointment! Mentally - no need to prepare, just come as you are, however you are! :)
Spray tan sessions with us are 20 minutes. This just gives us plenty of time to meet, consult and create your perfect solution. The actual tan application itself doesn't take long at all, two coats will be done in 5 minutes max!
We have sprayed hundreds of first timers at Beauty Diverse! (which is truly such an honour) Its TOTALLY normal to feel unsure. When you arrive at your appointment, we will take you through to the tanning area and show you where to place your things. Before we begin your application we will have a chat about ALL of the things, including a run through of what to expect during your tan. We provide disposable underwear if wanted, as well as disposable hair nets and nose filters. We also keep wipes and tissues on hand if you are wanting to wipe off makeup, any lingering deodorant or sweat. Once we have consulted and chosen your colour mix, we will leave you to undress and stand in the tent in privacy. The spray tan application itself takes up to 5 minutes to complete, and we will continually instruct you throughout on how to position your body for us to spray. (We do this regardless of if its your first tan or your 50 billionth tan, so don't panic about trying to remember what to do!) Once finished, we will powder you in any of the bendy areas, underarms and also under the breasts (if needed) We will then leave you to re-dress and meet you back in the main space to chat about all your post tan care!
Book it in! Spray tan solution is designed to make a chemical reaction happen on the skin (resulting in the beautiful bronzing magic). Spray tan solution is not designed for a particular body, shape, size, gender or race. No matter what your body looks like, presents with, or has/does, you more than qualify for a spray tan :)
We have 7 base shades on hand, which can be mixed and combined to make over 25 different colours. We're all for celebrating human unique-ness, and have never followed a "one size fits all" approach - tanning is SO much more than choosing light, medium or dark. We can give all sorts of beautiful results.
YES! We can go darker, but we can also even out skin tone, give it a beautiful, long lasting glow and boost the skin with hydration all over with only a subtle colour shift. Spray tanning is for all tones!
We recommend coming to us in loose, comfy clothing (pajamas work great!) but if you are coming from work, just bring a change of clothes for after your session. During your tan, we recommend wearing as little as possible to ensure no obvious tan lines, but the top priority is your comfort. We have clients who tan wearing just their underwear, or the disposable g string we provide, others in a strapless bra and underwear, some in singlets, some in bathers and others with nothing on. It is 100% your choice! *Please note for bigger busted ladies we recommend wearing a top or dress that can be tucked beneath the breasts after your tan to stop the sweat + skin on skin rubbing. This will help the tan develop as best as it can in a tricky area!
If its a rainy day, we recommend bringing an umbrella to ensure you don't get any water droplets on your skin. If you have leather car seats and are planning to wear a dress post tan, we also recommend bringing a towel to sit on on the way home.
Our tanning nook is situated at the back end of our salon, and is super private. Our tanning tent was specifically sought out as its one that holds space for all sizes - its large, roomy and allows you to move around without feeling you're gonna touch the sides. For those who are coming to us in a group for tans, rest assured your individual session is still private. We have doors separating you from where the group is sitting during your tan, and an extra privacy curtain pulled shut for you to change in comfort while we mix your solution up. You will leave us feeling like you've got some colour. This instant colour you see is purely the cosmetic bronzer, and doesn't have an influence on what your tan result will be. Even if you have requested to be as dark as possible, you will still leave us with a fairly light looking bronzer. The ingredients working beneath the bronzer are the ones that do the bronzing magic!
Most spray tan solutions (unless totally colourless) are mixed in with a cosmetic bronzer. This cosmetic bronzers main purpose is for us to see where we are applying the tan. Some solutions contain a high amount of cosmetic bronzer, which results in a heavy feeling, dark looking colour instantly. Others, like the solutions we use, only contain a minimal amount of bronzer, purely so we can see where we are spraying. This, as well as the solutions containing no alcohol and being water based (and us finishing up with setting powder) results in a comfortable feeling, light weight tan. We often hear our clients say they just feel like they've been sprayed with air, and are comfortable to dress immediately!
We sure do! Our solution rinse times range from 1 hour right through to overnight wear.
Spray tan solutions work on the very surface layer of your skin, which means it will continually be shedding off. Your tan lasting for as long as possible actually begins with following the pre tan preparation (sent to you upon bookings) to ensure your skin is well exfoliated, hydrated and that we're spraying you when your skins PH is at its optimum level. Post tan, continuing to keep your skin well moisturized will help prevent the tan from becoming patchy. Keep showers/water exposure to a minimum. We also recommend using a tan extender with 5% DHA in it daily to keep your solution colour topped up and to prevent it from turning brassy. We stock these in salon!
Spray tan solutions take up to 48 hours to fully develop. This means you wont see your full depth of colour until the 48 hour point - however you will have colour already there by the time you first have your rinse. Some of our clients prefer their spray tan the day after being sprayed, some two days and others like the tan to wear in a little over three days. As a general rule of thumb, we recommend spray tanning two days prior to your special event. For our holiday go-ers, we recommend tanning the day before so your tan is nice and fresh for when you arrive!
